First Workshop on
Robotic Computing for Industrial Inspection

In conjunction with the IEEE International Conference on Robotic Computing 2024
December 11, 2024 Tokyo, Japan

About

Challenges and Trends in Robotic Inspection

Industrial inspection is crucial for maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency across various sectors. Recent advancements in robotic computing technologies offer industries the potential to achieve higher safety measures, precision, consistency, and cost-effectiveness. However, the successful adoption of these robotic systems and solutions relies not only on methodological advancements but also on their actual implementation and deployment to become robust and effective tools for humans. Therefore, the main motivation of this workshop is to create a forum for discussion to explore topics enabling the real application of robotic computing technologies to industrial inspection. This opportunity will be beneficial for shaping the future directions of robotic computing research, with an emphasis on AI-powered systems and solutions that support humans in increasing safety, improving performance, and enhancing interactions with robots in industrial inspection settings.
